How can we make love, not just have sex?

Can anyone explain how I can get my bf to make love instead of just having sex. We do have a terrific sex life but sometimes it would be nice to be passionate and cuddle and hug.

I think if you can connect intellectually by doing something that will get you two closer emotionally, to open up to one another, you will be able to connect on a deeper level physically. Try to take the focus off the sex itself, agree to play one night or day with the goal of not actually going for it, and focus on the closeness.
