Would women be turned off by a tattoo?

I'm thinking about getting some Hebrew lettering put on my left ribcage, and i was wondering how well this would fly with the ladies. if the lettering would be a huge turnoff then i probably won't do it, but apart from that, i would like to get this done.

Like everyone has said, NEVER, EVER get a tattoo because of anyone else but yourself. How one person may see your tat, can be totally different than how others see it. ie. a girl you like thinks it's cool. But the rest of your friends or other girls thinks it cheesy. I have a few, but they are all about me for me, and no one else. My first tattoo artist gave me sound advise, and so I relay it to anyone else considering getting inked. Forget about everyone else...then ask yourself, can you see yourself with this tattoo 50 years from now, and can you picture yourself liking it just as much as you did when you first got it. Remember, this is permanent.

If you're concerned that it will be a turn-off to women, then I think that it doesn't mean that much to you in the first place. I have 2 tattoo's (I'm a woman) and I got them because they mean something to me and I didn't think twice about whether or not some guy would like them. GO FOR IT!! :)

Personally, I love tats! Meaningful ones...even more so. I say go for it! But do make sure that it's something that you'll appreciate when you're 75 and wrinkly! =)
