Men On The Down Low: A Guide For Women

[Intimacy & Sexuality]
Could your man be leading a double life? Michael Van Do explores this controversial subject and offers his advice.
In this day and age, it is difficult to tell if someone lives a straight, gay, or bisexual lifestyle. However, things have become more complicated.

Now, there is a whole new lifestyle called “the down low,” where men maintain romantic and sexual relationships with women, but secretly have sex with other men behind closed doors.

So, what should a woman do if they suspect that their boyfriend or husband is living on the down low?

Always Practice Safe Sex

This is very important. You should always use a condom when having sex with your boyfriend or husband. This will protect you from any unwanted sexual diseases he may be carrying.

Unfaithful boyfriends or husbands who live on the down low are more at risk of catching sexually transmitted diseases like HIV and AIDS. The reason behind this is that some of these men may choose not to use a condom, while engaged in sexual activity with another man. They choose not to because men cannot become pregnant unlike women.

Do Not Blame Yourself

If you find out that your partner is cheating on you with another man, please do not blame yourself. It was never your fault to begin with. You did not make your husband or boyfriend become gay, bisexual, or curious.

Without a doubt, his feelings for other men were there before you both met. However, those feelings were bottled up until now. There are men who come out at the age of 16 and others at 50. Not every situation is the same.
