The Sony PSP is the only choice for the Geek Gamer. The upgraded memory costs about $200, but the 2 GB drive can hold about 20 albums worth of music. With a relatively low starting price point for a multimedia player, the PSP has loads of upgradeable options including music.

The Bohemian Artiste
The choice here is simple: Apple’s 1 GB iPod shuffle.   It is easy to use and is smaller than a pack of gum. This little device doesn’t skip like your old CD player and is more portable than your boom box.
