Women Watch Hockey Too!

I took mild offense (very mild) to the article 5 Things To Do While He Watches Hockey. I am a longtime hockey fan. In fact, I know more about the game, the rules, the teams, the players and the history than my boyfriend and most guys I know. Not every female in the world is unfamiliar with popular organized sports.

I do however like the suggestion that women sit down and learn about the game. It is a fast paced, exciting, and enjoyable sport to watch and they are fairly simple rules to learn. Most men would be flattered that you are interested in the game and would be happy to explain it to you. Plus, you then get a share of the beer and the pizza.

Cheers,
Abby

A Reader Forgets the Grain of Salt

Such awful stereotypes of men you portray in your words about Mr. Right! To suggest businessmen are cheaters is evidence of your little knowledge and experience in my opinion. To cast men so narrowly may give women too narrow a view and that of itself makes relationships and the ability to find Mr. Right so much more difficult. Why are you allowed to in-accurately stereotype men in this way to such a large audience?

Happy New Year!

Editors' Response: These emails come in from time-to-time and if we've said it once we've said it a thousand times - lighten up! When you read something like 'all businessmen are cheaters' (which we actually never said!) or any other stereotypical jokes in an article - please remember to take it with a grain of salt! A little humor never hurt anyone. So please, take the article for what it is - great advice mixed in with some facetious humor.
