A vacation is more than just some time to relax and think about the future.  Where you go and for the duration of this expedition is very telling of the workings in this relationship.  Of course, money and time are factors that contribute to your choice of a vacation, but you two still have choices within your budget and time frame.  I have established a list of common expeditions that all couples go on.  Your first trip together is the key that lets you in on what kind of relationship you two have.

Extended Family Retreat

You’re one of the family, whether you like it or not! Sorry if this upsets you, but when he invites you on a trip to the family cottage—with his family—you are practically engaged. You might as well start planning the wedding.  Just kidding! This means that he is quite comfortable with you and is willing to introduce you to his family. You two probably won’t even spend that much time with his family members while you’re there.  Just relax because it looks like you guys are quite comfortable with each other, and hopefully with his family, too!
