Are you living a healthy life but still feel like something’s missing?  You may be lacking sleep. Stephanie Patulli has some advice to help you catch up.

It isn’t just a myth that sleep is a huge component in good overall health.  Getting some extra sleep can help with a number of issues.  It can make you look great and feel even better.  There are two big problems though; some people feel there isn’t enough time for sleep, while others just can’t seem to get to bed at night.

A Dream Come True
Make sure to get as close as possible to eight hours of sleep each night.  Keeping a consistent schedule with plenty of rest in it boosts your immune system.  You’ll be less susceptible to viruses, meaning you’ll probably get sick less often.  If you do get sick, sleeping is one of the fastest ways to fend off symptoms.  Catching some more Z’s is great for solving a bunch of other more serious health problems too.  Your body runs better when it’s had adequate time to repair itself overnight.

Sleep can help you deal with things like stress and anxiety as well. Being relaxed is good at getting rid of stress, which makes sense if you think about it.  You’re the most relaxed when you’re sleeping, so getting more of it will result in a calmer you.
