Shorts Shorts are sometimes the only practical option when it comes to staying comfortable when the weather gets too hot. Walkshorts are a great option. They are usually cut at or above the knee so you’ll be able to move around in them. They’re great because you won’t overheat, either. Not only that, there are a plethora of styles to choose from. Checkered patterns are always in, especially if you want a safer, more universal option. Go with shorts that have cargo pockets only if you actually need them! If you live at the beach in the summers, choose colours that are more earthy, like browns and creams. This will help conceal sand marks! Not only that, those colours go with just about everything. The general rule is to go with opposites. Pair light colours with dark colours to make your outfit more versatile.
Golf Shirts Golf shirts are a summer staple for guys. They’re a classic style and look polished and put together. The great thing is they usually work for an office situation, while still being casual enough to wear out after work without looking like you just clocked out. Collared shirts are nice enough, but you’ll end up looking unkempt if you keep them untucked or don’t iron them. That’s where golf shirts come in. They are low-maintenance, for the most part, and can still look great if you keep them untucked.
Shoes It’s hard finding a good pair of summer shoes for guys, especially since the majority of the population swear the usual ‘sports’ sandals look awful, and thong flip flops are just way too casual. It’s a problem hat’s hard to reconcile, but there might be some options. Why not try out a pair of Keds or other canvas-style shoes? You don’t necessarily have to wear them with socks. They’re also comfortable and can be worn across a variety of situation. The only hitch is that they might not be appropriate to wear to work. In that department, men might just have the shorter end of the stick. Keep your socks and close-toed shoes on at the office, unless everyone is changing into flip flops once they arrive at their desk.
Pants Again, it’s hard for men to sport pants comfortably in the summer, even if their work situation requires it. Keep I mind that baggy pants are really not that appropriate for the office. Save those for the weekends when you go camping. If your workplace attire is more casual, keep your pants straight or boot cut. Don’t be afraid to try different colours for the weekend, though. Bright colours for guys are making a comeback.
Comfort is Key Really, though, it comes down to comfort. You need to be comfortable with what you’re wearing or else you won’t have a good time. Try on cotton fabrics (they absorb sweat) or breathable shirts for sports. When it gets hot, the last thing you need to be thinking about is where you can find a shirt that’s cooler.
