Dan, I just read your article and firmly believe you are the coolest fitness pez dispensing machine I have ever come across. Go shoes on feet! ;) – Kathy Then came the idea from people that I should start shooting videos telling people about my thoughts on fitness, success, stupidity, fat loss training, BOSU balls, and the world in general. So those are in the works as we speak. People tell me there isn’t enough tough love out there these days and I can agree with that. Pretty soon we won’t even be allowed to yell at our kids. I’m going to break this into a few sections and then tell you some of my thoughts on them. Sound good? Thought so. Fitness - It’s recently been confirmed how lazy and stupid we are when it comes to products that will help us lose weight. Have you seen these Sketchers Shape-Ups shoes? - If you don’t deadlift you’re not a man, period. - If you still do long cardio for fat loss purposes I congratulate you for thinking you’re being productive. - The BEST tip I could ever give someone to get results is to bust your ass no matter what you’re doing. - If your trainer has ever said that squatting below 90 degrees is bad for ANYBODY then go find a new trainer. - Guys, stop acting like you’re tough in your Tap Out gear while the three of you lift and all listen to your ipods. If you’re not a fighter don’t try and act like one…oh right, real fighters don’t act like that ever. - One of my female clients deadlifted 205 pounds today…and guess what? She’s not ‘butch’ and doesn’t look like Arnold. - Learn to love the intensity of your training sessions, not the duration of it.
