Creative Ways to Keep Eating Treats

If you have a favorite iced drink or sandwich, think of how you usually order it. Do you take it just as it is, even though there are high calorie aspects of it you could do without? Get rid of them!

You can make modifications to your orders so they better suit you. If you don’t love whipped cream but it tops off your favorite iced coffee, ask for the coffee without it.  Let’s say you love a sandwich for the tasty bread and the filling, but it comes with tons of mayonnaise as well. Unless mayonnaise is one of your favorite condiments, ask for the sandwich without it. You’ll save calories and be able to enjoy the sandwich for the elements you like about it - no extra fat needed.

Be a Little Creative

There are plenty of ways to eat the foods you like without having to feel guilty. Just don’t eat them as often as you eat healthy foods, and don’t eat as much of them when you do.

Smaller portions, lower calorie alternatives, and getting rid of anything you don’t need that can be bad for you are all ways to satisfy your cravings without ruining your diet. A small treat here and there will make you feel better about your eating habits, since you won’t feel like anything is forbidden.
