![]() You may not always accomplish everything you hope to, but give yourself credit whenever you do something right. Your goal may be to fit in 30-minute workout sessions each week, but you only end up exercising for fifteen minutes each session. It’s easy to point out where you failed, but try to acknowledge what you did do. However busy the week was for you, you did make time to exercise. Instead of sitting and watching television, you made it a priority to further your goal of getting fit. Reward yourself by doing a favourite relaxing activity or treating yourself to your favourite dessert (in moderation). Take The Pressure Off Goals should make you feel good and should be possible to achieve. Set yourself up to succeed instead of fail by knowing your limits and planning within them. Many conventional diets or workout routines have unattainable ideals and they only leave you feeling down. You might want to try setting less stringent ambitions for yourself. Instead of having a specific weight loss goal, make small changes to your life that will better your overall health. You’ll be focusing on how good you feel, rather than numbers on a scale. Whether you lose one pound or three pounds in a set week, reward yourself for your efforts. A positive plan is one you’ll likely enjoy following and your new healthy habits will stay with you for life. Eventually, positive changes will become positive life-long habits. |
