![]() Spend time with like-minded people, other university students who will spend the months working day and night with you. Make friends that you’ll never forget. And to top it off, when you head home after the end of the summer, you’ll have friends to visit all over the world when you’re ready to take a more conventional summer vacation. You will have time off during the summer. These days off are a great chance to do a little conventional travelling with your camp friends. Visit a city nearby or explore the wilderness surrounding your camp. Bring a camera and take thousands of pictures out on the road. Find A Camp Job As with all new adventures, do your research and reap the rewards. Look into potential camps. Find out what kind of wage you can expect. If you can, contact past counsellors through Facebook or another social networking site to try and get an inside perspective on their summer experience so you pick the right camp in the right place for you. With one summer at camp under my belt, my only regret is that I didn’t get started working at camp years ago. It’s been an all around great experience. When you combine travel with a great job, you can see more, go further and keep travelling longer! |
