Things Women Should Let Slide

Should you be freaking out about his latest behaviour?  Lisa Xing gives her view on what women should be okay with when it comes to their partners.
Jealousy can be a very hideous monster to have to deal with in a relationship.  In fact, it can be a huge problem with certain couples.  We all know the areas we can improve on in these situations and really, it’s not that hard.  It just takes a little bit of self-restraint and some guts.  Sometimes to be okay with something, you have to pretend to be okay with it, until you actually are.  Sounds twisted, doesn’t it?  Well, if we harped on our partners for every little thing we had a problem with, there would be constant fights in every relationship.  These are some of the things guys do that we should probably (although we don’t always) overlook.

Celebratory Strip Club

Honestly, it’s not a big deal that your guy’s friends want to take him out to a strip club for his bachelor party or his birthday.  Yes, it’s a problem if he ditches you for it, but if the two of you don’t have plans, there’s usually no reason why you should be worrying.  Guys do admire attractive women.  That’s an undeniable fact.  And regardless of your opinions of places like these, at least he’s doing the admiring in a public place and not seeking it elsewhere, right?  Sometimes, looking isn’t that bad—as long as he’s looking forward to coming home to you.  As long as it’s a “celebratory” occasion and not happening every single weekend, you shouldn’t worry.

Forgetfulness

Sometimes it’s important to let things slide.  That’s the case with the common “forgetfulness” that many men suffer from.  This usually isn’t indicative of his feelings towards you and doesn’t mean he cares about you any less.  Men just can’t multi-track when it comes to these things.  Yes, this is proven!  If you do have a problem with it, especially if he is forgetting important events (like your birthday), talk to him calmly about it and I’m sure he’ll at least try to be better next time.  Getting into a screaming match about this is not going to help your case.
