![]() Unfortunately, the Heart and Stroke Foundation never included suggestions on how they could improve things from within their own organization. For starters, cutting a large number of justifiably unhealthy items made with sugar or processed meats from their Health Check program would be a step in the right direction. Removing their Health Check logo from certain chain restaurants that are notorious for selling unhealthy foods as well as changing the recommended amount of salt intake per week to match that of the Canadian Stroke Network would also be beneficial. Room For Error Perhaps the best advice offered by the updated Heart and Stroke Foundation report card on Canadians’ health is the tidbit near the end, advising Canadians to be more aware of cardiovascular health issues and to follow a balanced and healthy diet.
