Not all bachelors can be found giving out roses on TV.  Tyler Kalmakoff gives some tips to the ladies on dating single men.  What took him so long!
Yes, this column is called Bachelor’s Degree.  It’s typically where men come for their post-secondary education on dating and the female psyche.  But we bachelors got together and thought, why not write something for the fairer sex?  You know, as a way to get to know us better.  Speed dating, magazine style.

Guys like to think women are the complicated ones.  Day in and day out we rack our brains trying to figure out what you’re thinking, what you want, what you need, what you expect and who you really are beneath all those beautiful curves.  Truth is, we’re starting to figure you gals out, but what do you know about us?

We Get Scared, Easily

We want to travel and make money and play poker and watch sports on Sunday, all uninterrupted for at least a few more years.  Take it easy on us with the whole relationship thing.  Don’t push us.  We love you, but there are only so many creative ways of hinting at an engagement ring before it starts getting us thinking about leaving in the middle of the night while it’s still dark.  Escape from Guantanamo?  Not quite.  But you get the idea.

Don’t forget that, for the common bachelor, every day with you is new ground for him.  Be patient.  Some of us still wear Velcro shoes and eat cereal for dinner.  You won’t change us overnight, but there’s no reason to get all pouty-faced over it.  Actually, go ahead.  We love the pouty face.  It’s cute.  Here at Bachelor’s Degree we recommend it.

Talk Us Through It

Bachelors need illustration.  If you want to know about our relationship intentions with you, ask us.  You’ll be constantly and thoroughly disappointed if you expect us to volunteer such information.  Don’t set us up for failure by cornering our poor souls and refusing sex if something isn’t clear in the relationship.  Communication solves all problems.
