What Do Men Think REALLY Think About Love At First Sight?By Matthew Stefanson [Message From Mars]

![]() But what about all of those perfect little couples who insist that they fell in love the second their eyes locked? The ones who drink one malted from two straws and wait until marriage to do any of the fun stuff? More than likely, it’s actually a sudden infatuation brought on by lust or a chemical issue (drugs, hormones, puberty, etc.). But, does that make it any less genuine? Not at all. Occasionally, we’re all struck by a sudden appearance of beauty, whether it be from a person or an object or a concept. It’s a moment of rare clarity that gives us a unique outlook. Besides, men form most of their relationships based upon the outcome of an assessment of physical beauty. Men judge books by their covers, usually without even trying to turn a page, so if we can convince ourselves that it’s love and you’re not entirely put off by the idea, who’s to say it’s not love? The Complications Of Love Love is a nebulous and impossible thing. The concept itself is so poorly defined that no two people will experience the same kind of love; some people might never even get the chance. With all of the particulars of love and all of the emotions involved in it, we’re lucky that we get it even after a long process of familiarization. We’re just getting greedy, wanting it all at once. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, it just means that we’re disguising something else in a name that we’re familiar with. Let Matthew know what you think at matthew (at) thesoko (dot) com. |
