What is the big colour trend for 2010?  Reine Gammo lets you in on the fashion trends that will be all the rage this year.
The year is off to a great start as far as fashion is concerned.  The best thing about this year’s fashion and style is that, somehow, it is saturated with new styles without completely forgetting the classics.  Classics have been reintroduced, reinvented and revitalized.  You can either go completely new in trend and style, or indulge in the brilliance of craftsmanship of vintage clothing.  For those masterful enough, you can brilliantly marry the two for a look that will strike envy in the heart of anyone that loves the beauty of fashion.  Here is a list of the top things that will be must-have pieces for the entirety of the year and through every fashion season.  Whether they remain exactly the same or are slightly reinterpreted, they will be present.

Bustiers And Corsets

Privacy seems to be something of the past these days.  Things are no longer staying in the bedroom.  Collections from Nina Ricci to Dolce & Gabbana are abundant with satin corsets, lace bodysuits and tulle layers and frills.  The cuts, shapes and designs leave little to the imagination with corsets designed with zippers, bodysuits in great lace designs and florals and embroidery to satisfy any taste.  These pieces are great investments as they can be worn in so many different ways, like a corset paired with a blazer, a lace bodysuit peeking out from under a sheer silk shirt or a pretty lacy piece layered under pretty much anything your imagination can think up.

Florals

This probably has something to do with the industry’s nostalgic longing for old romance.  As with lace and all frilly things, floral prints imbue a subtle youthfulness, vibrancy and romantic touch to a piece of clothing or an accessory.  They are giving animal prints a slight push away from the spotlight this year.  Yet another great thing about them is that they can be worn in anything from dresses to bodysuits to shoes and handbags.  Even jewellery has taken on the trend with flower adornments for earrings and necklaces.  This is one trend especially perfect for spring and summer, but it can definitely be incorporated into fall and winter with more subdued hues.
