These three basic, all-natural ingredients from your kitchen can do wonders for your skin.  Reine Gammo shares a few recipes.
I’ve been feeling like most of the money people spend on anti-aging products and at beauty salons is, for the most part, money gone down the drain.  Don’t get me wrong; I’m not completely ruling out the benefits of these options, I just believe you can get the same results, if not even better, right in the comfort of your own home and for far less dollars spent.  Just as I advocate all natural materials for clothes and shoes, I feel the same about beauty products.

True beauty does come from within and I’m not talking about your personality or kind heart.  It’s what you eat and what you put on your face.  The smell of vanilla can enhance your mood, while the smell of citrus can wake you up.  Would you rather soak in a vanilla bubble bath or take anti-depressants?  If you prefer the former you might want to hear about some all-natural alternatives to anti-aging and beauty products.

Teas Fight Wrinkles

Rooibos, is a tea made from the dried trimmings from the red bush plant called Aspalathus linearis, a small green shrub found in South Africa.  It works great as an anti-inflammatory and is abundant in minerals like potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium, copper and iron, not to mention its high levels of antioxidants.  When ingested it soothes the skin so you look less puffy, while the antioxidants do their magic to prevent wrinkles.  Also, when applied topically, it can stop itching.  Try drinking Rooibos tea or finding face creams in which it is a main ingredient.

Fruit Mask

This mask has the effect of a mini-facelift.  Obviously, the effects aren’t as permanent or as severe.  Instead, it is great for lifting the skin and giving you a nice glow.  Grab a handful of strawberries and grapes, half a pear and half an apple and place them in the blender.  Add a couple of tablespoons of orange juice.  This might sound like a smoothie recipe, but you will not be drinking it.  It actually does go on your face.  Blend the mixture.  Apply a thin layer of honey to your face and then apply the mixture.  Leave it on for approximately 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water.  Don’t rub your face with a harsh face cloth.  Always pat it dry.
