3 More Reasons To Avoid Commercial GymsBy Dan Grant [Trainer Talk]

![]() Okay, now I’m not saying anything bad about women. However, I’m going to tell you that the way they set up a Women’s Only area in a gym is not the right way to get you good results. Almost every Women’s Only area I’ve ever seen is just machines and some dumbbells that go up to 20 pounds. I understand why you ladies want your own area. I mean, with all the meatheads that lurk around and think that they are the hottest stuff on earth, it’s understandable that you would want to avoid any sort of contact at all with these goofs. I know that you think that machines and light weights are the best ways to get in shape (don’t worry, the sales people will assure you that it is the proper way when they are showing you the area and also probably assuring you that those nice pink three pound weights will make your shoulders burn and get toned), but I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news again. It’s just not true. You need to get after it and lift some heavier weight. Do full body movements. Get stronger. Trust me; get some muscle. It’s sexy (it won’t be bulky muscle either, relax). Call Someone Who Cares I’m telling you this right now: studios are the new wave in fitness. In the next three to five years I bet commercial gyms will start suffering, because people will finally realize that they aren’t producing results. They don’t care about you. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can make a good decision about your health. What do you think? Email Dan at dan (at) thesoko (dot) com. Source: www.gymsuperstarbootcamps.com |
