![]() Plan something special, so that you can really enjoy your date nights. While it is nice to splurge every once in a while, consider planning inexpensive, creative dates to spice up your love lives and give you something to talk about for years. Something like a picnic in the spring or summer at a local park or a long drive to a small town for a cozy and romantic dinner is a nice change. Sometimes, when I am out and see something that my boyfriend needs or would like, I pick it up for him. These items are inexpensive (otherwise I save it for his birthday!) and the next time we see each other, I give it to him. Buying something personal for him, grooming products for example, shows him that you listen when he talks about the stuff he needs and also that you care about him. Basically, just do the stuff you would like him to do for you. He will pick up on it and begin to do the same. Don’t Stress Being in a relationship is a beautiful thing, but it isn't always perfect and convenient. There will be times when you have to go long stretches without seeing each other. This is just part of being a modern couple. If he or she is busy with work or school, let them catch up or be patient until their workload decreases. If you are the busy one, ask your partner to do the same thing for you. Every couple goes through busy periods. All you can do is wait it out until things calm down again. Only if this is an ongoing problem should you bring it up with him or her or try to cut back on your own schedule. If he or she is important to you and vice versa, then just be understanding and patient. Patience is one of the most important qualities in a long-lasting relationship, along with communication and love, of course. |
