![]() It is not that common for men (typically having shorter hair) to pour on the shampoo when showering, but it is more typical for men to have several showers in a day. This often makes sense if you have an active lifestyle or a formal occasion to attend. Sometime it’s just nice to freshen up. Where you can run into some trouble is if you are cleaning your hair several times a day. Your scalp produces natural oils that promote healthy skin and hair, and if you are constantly washing your locks with shampoo, you will be robbing your head of those oils. Also, over-washing your ‘do can leave your hair looking a little limp and your scalp incredibly dry, which can lead to dandruff. Some people recommend only washing your hair every other day, but that’s an idea that might not sit that well with everyone. Just don’t wash it more than once in a day and you should be fine. Cologne While this one is fairly obvious, many guys still don’t know how much is too much when it comes to cologne. A couple of dabs on your wrists and neck are all you need. A person should need to get close to you in order to smell your scent. You should not leave behind a cloud of stench when you leave a room. Whether some guys overuse it because they just can’t get enough of the scent of their cologne, they think women find it irresistible or they are covering up another smell, it is perhaps one of the most offense things a man can do without opening his mouth. Everything In Moderation The key to good grooming habits is to learn which products can benefit your look and how to use them. It takes time and effort to perfect your regimen, and simply throwing on as much of some body spray or hair wax you saw advertised on TV will not suffice. Find out which products work for you and then make them last. |
