![]() If you know you've done something wrong, then make an attempt at reconciliation. Fess up to your mistake and try to come to a place where you can both accept some involvement and responsibility and move on. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should bend over backwards. You have to place blame where it lies, but do it objectively. Don't offer a blanket apology if it's a mutually caused problem; that's not a healthy way for a relationship to work. You shouldn't have to accept all of the responsibility for something that you both have some invested guilt in. Don't let anger cloud your judgment on the matter. Take Responsibility You're in a partnership and it's important that both sides be working together, for the benefit of the whole enterprise. Don't be a doormat, but take the knocks that are coming to you. You can stand up for yourself as much as you like, but just make sure that you're doing it for the right reasons. |
