These things add up to major time wasted. Sarah Stefanson shares some simple ideas to save time. ![]() Make A Chores List Lists are incredibly helpful things. You probably use them all the time for work or school, but you shouldn’t neglect your home life when it comes to organizing with lists. Keeping up with all the housework can be challenging, especially if you’re not getting enough help from the people that live with you. At times it feels like you spend more time asking your husband or kids to clean something up than it would take to just clean it up yourself! Avoid doing everything by creating a list of chores for your home. Include all the housework that needs to get done and how often the duty should be performed. Then slot your housemates names into the space beside each job, alternating duties every week. This list shouldn’t take you long to make and, if everyone agrees to stick to it, it should result in you doing far less yourself. Plan Your Day Spend 10 minutes at the end of every day planning what you need to do the following day. You can use a list here if necessary, but most often, all you need to do is sort out in your head what tasks you need to accomplish the next day. This will help you to avoid double booking yourself and forgetting important events. |
