Taking too long in the shower? Reine Gammo tells you how to look your best in no time flat. ![]() Multitask The most effective thing you can do to reduce your beauty time in the morning is to multitask. Obviously, if you are doing two tasks at one time, it will reduce the time it takes to get them done. However, make sure you are choosing the right tasks to combine with each other. For example, you obviously can’t put on makeup while trying to brush your hair. So pick a task that can complement the other. For instance, instead of waiting in the shower for your conditioner to set in and do its magic while you do nothing, shave your legs if you need to or brush your teeth or wash your face. I know some people may be reluctant to admit that they brush their teeth in the shower, but when you are in a jam for time, it really saves you. Lay Out Your Clothes Beforehand Before you go into the shower, have your clothes chosen and laid out already, so that once you are out of the shower, you can just put them on. If you have not decided on what to wear that day when you’ve woken up, use your time in the shower to think of what you want to wear. Once you are out of the shower, you already have that outfit in mind and you can just pick it out of the closet and be ready in a couple of minutes. Have your clothes ironed the night before if you know you’re going to need a specific item the next day. There is no point wasting precious minutes in the morning on the time-consuming task of ironing. Also, it might be wise to always have a backup for days when you accidentally spill coffee on what you’re wearing. That will reduce the time consumed and frustration caused by such an accident and will have you back on your way in no time. |
