The sun is finally out and it is time to celebrate. Winter has finally loosened its grasp, the snow has melted away and even though it still rains every now and again, there is no excuse to keep wearing those winter jackets and putting on those awful Uggs. Time to lock them in a deep dark corner of your closet and throw away the key. Summer is here and it’s staying for a while. Take a look at the hottest trends summer has to offer and winter will seem like a distant memory, long and far gone. Bye-bye winter, hello summer!

Jumpsuits

This is one of the biggest trends this summer and fashion designers, and retailers have found a way to make jumpsuits look trendy, fashionable and totally hot. They can be dressed down with gladiator sandals or dressed up with strappy, platform heels. I wouldn’t recommend wearing them for an office meeting, but for every other summer outing, they work just fine. From a day at the beach to street window shopping to exploring a new part of town, you’ll look fashionable and appropriately dressed.

The Matador Jacket

The blending of the masculine and feminine has been a big trend, made bigger by Yves Saint Laurent, and now it is making an even bigger comeback. The “boyfriend look” has been trendy since fall, but this style just takes it to a whole new dimension, a way better dimension! Designers have added a twist to this trend by mimicking the designs of matador jackets and integrating them into designs for suit jackets and blazers. This style will suit almost anything. It can go with jeans, skirts and shorts, and even works for business attire (depending on the particular design, of course). If you are looking for a blazer, this is definitely a style to invest in. Even long after it is no longer the “it” trend, it will still look good and seem in fashion. You can say you’re being retro.
