How to Deal With Unwanted Attention

Be Mean

This one is known to be a last resort for me as well as a lot of other women that I know.  Sometimes, being honest and being brutally honest simply doesn’t work.  The stubbornness of some guys in this type of situation throws me for a loop at times.  In my point of view, I can’t stand having to tell someone to their face as blunt as possible what they’re doing wrong.  I’ve always believed that it’s up to them to look inside themselves and be self-aware.  It’s the only way they’ll learn.

That being said, don’t hesitate to lower the news as bluntly, and dare I say, crudely as you can.  If no other methods work, you might have no other recourse.  If it is a bridge that you don’t mind burning, I’m all for it.  In some cases, that might be the only way to get rid of someone’s amorous intentions towards you.  However, if even that doesn’t work and the situation gets uncomfortable to the point of your personal safety and security being called into question, contact authorities and someone you trust ASAP.

nothing works for everyone

Unfortunately, no one solution works for everyone.  You have to pick and choose what you think might work for that situation.  If nothing works, you can’t blame yourself.  Walking away might be the best course of action if he or she refuses to get the message.
