How can you prevent blue eye shadow from looking black on your lids? Stacey Noronha shares her icy blue favourites.  Growing up, I wasn’t one of those girls who pranced around in pink, frilly dresses with large bows. I liked my action movies, soccer and, more importantly, my favourite pair of jeans. Over the years I may have changed up my wardrobe to include dresses and heels, but my favourite colour ― blue ― has remained constant. Try a few of these beautiful blues before the summer ends. The Perfect Pedicure If you are one of those fortunate individuals who made it to the beach this summer, as envious as I am, I’m hoping that you showed up with the perfect beach-ready pedicure. My favourite lines of nail polish are Sally Hansen and OPI. Although different in price, they both have much to offer. With every pedicure, remember to go to a well-established and extremely hygienic place. Make sure they clean the tubs frequently and that all the tools are properly sanitized. Colour Them Lids For me, my eyelids are like a blank canvas. Every time I go out, I stand in front of the mirror and think I’m going to work some magic. True story. With the right brush and eye shadow, you too could create the perfect masterpiece that would make even Van Gogh proud. Don’t forget the primer to make sure the shadow stays put. I also highly recommend cleaning the lid with toner just to remove any excess dirt or oils that could cause the powder or cream shadow to crease up. Make sure your brushes are of good quality and clean them regularly to prevent infections and your blue eye shadow appearing like black on your eyelids!
