 Draw The LineThere are days when between trying to scarf down my cereal and finding pants that are creaseless, I just can’t find the time to colour those eyelids. So instead, my quick routine is some face powder, eyeliner and mascara. The right eyeliner makes all the difference. Once you master the pencil eyeliner I would suggest trying the liquid eyeliner. With a variety of colours and brush styles, it is the perfect epitome of less is more. Just remember to put some primer or powder on your lids so it glides on easily and stays put. You really don’t want the liner to smudge onto your crease. It may be hard for someone to distinguish between you and the raccoon down the street. My Cool Pick: SEPHORA pencil liner in Electro Marine and SEPHORA liquid eyeliner in blue. Curly or Curlier Since I don’t enjoy wearing lipstick, my eyes tend to be the dramatized segment of my face. The one thing I never leave home without is my mascara. Mascara, first of all, comes in many different shades. There is the obvious black, but over the years the additions of black brown, brown and navy have made it easier to create a customized look based on your skin tones and eye colour. I have even found red and purple mascara too! Mascara wands also come in a variety of shapes and sizes to prevent clumps and instantly curl lashes. I always suggest my secret weapon, the eyelash curler, before applying mascara. I find if you apply the mascara and then curl you could lose a lot more lashes and it sets your lashes in a weird space-like look. I should know, since the first time I used a curler, I did just that. I suggest turquoise and aqua shades for clothing and accessories. Certain bridal stores even have ‘pool’ bridesmaid dresses and sashes for the bridal gown. If this is not enough, may I recommend the Body Shop’s new Aqua Lily Eau De Toilette with its fresh and uplifting appeal? Make this the summer of the blues! |
