Spreading Obesity

These obesity studies are being done to analyze just one in a broad range of issues that are increasing obesity rates around the world. Far from being contained in North America, the World Health Organization is currently developing a charter to help organize action and combat the spreading obesity epidemic in Europe. According to WHO, two-thirds of the European population is already at risk, with numbers steadily increasing. The studies being done in an attempt to curb the obesity spread is just one small step in a global push to one day completely halt obesity from being a problem.

Linking lack of sleep to increased weight gain is not only unsurprising, but it seems like common sense. After all, sleeping allows us to heal and recuperate, and cutting down on that process can only do our bodies more harm than good. Waking up hungrier and requiring more food to energize our bodies only makes sense if we don’t allow ourselves the proper R & R. So stop working so hard, get some sleep and have fun dropping some pounds while you sleep!
