Keeping Old Boyfriends In The Past

3. Burn Those Bridges

If somehow you find yourself face to face with a former flame and it’s not going well, feel free to feed the fire.  If you weren’t convinced that your polite, mature breakup was for the best, you will certainly be hard pressed to find reasons to get back together with someone you had a public free-for-all with during your final rendezvous.

I personally would find it extremely difficult to engage in this behaviour, but I still don’t think it’s a bad idea.  Plus, it’d be a pretty inspiring story for friends and coworkers.

Don’t doubt yourself. Trust your own instincts. Your past instincts, of course. Obviously your present ones are suffering temporary insanity if they are tricking you into making that late night call/email/text message to an ex.  Don’t give in!  Call your friends instead, go somewhere new, or hell, go somewhere alone.  You never know who you’ll meet.
