Nails

Chances are there'll be many looks directed at your left hand as your guests try to catch a glimpse of your wedding ring, so lovely nails are a must!

Be sure to keep your hands, feet and nails well moisturized.  Use cuticle oil and a rich moisturizer on your hands and feet daily.  Also, remember to push your cuticles back when you get out of the shower and they're nice and soft.

Begin with regular manicures every three weeks and pedicures every six weeks.  Gradually, you'll see a considerable difference in the appearance of your nails and cuticles.  Schedule your final manicure and pedicure for the day before your wedding.

For your fingernails, a natural coloured polish is the cleanest, most classic look for a bride.  For your toes, feel free to go wild and choose a colour that shows your personality.

Makeup

Choosing a makeup artist for your wedding day can be tricky.  Ensure they're willing to give you a trial application prior to the wedding.  Your artist should have a portfolio of brides to show you so you can get an idea of their work.

Cut out pictures to show your artist the type of look you're hoping for.  Speak to them about the colours of your flowers, the bridesmaid dresses and the decor for your wedding.  Make sure your makeup complements all the colours surrounding you on your special day.

Bridal makeup looks best when kept natural and clean looking.  You want to bring out your best features instead of hiding behind a mask of trendy makeup.  However, your face should be flawless in pictures, so make sure your makeup isn't so natural it can't be noticed.

be yourself

While developing your look for the big day, remember you still want to look like you.  Don't go overboard with new hairstyles or funky makeup.  You should aim to look like you…only better.

Classic beauty is always in style for a bride.  You don't want to look back on your wedding day and say, "What was I thinking!"  When making your style decisions, remember that you'll be looking back on your wedding pictures for many years to come.
